Essential Features of a Laboratory Quality Assurance Program
SourceProgress in the environmental sciences is vitally dependent on reliable data resulting from complex measurement processes. Because of this complexity, the measurement process must be well designed and operate in a state of statistical control. A quality assurance program, including quality control and quality assessment procedures, denotes those features that lead to the production of data under these conditions. The rudimentary features are described together with the expected benefits. Parallelisms are drawn with a well designed manufacturing process.
