Soil Strain Measurement Using Inductance Coil Method
SourcePast field experience using the inductance coil system for soil strain measurement is summarized. The purpose is to illustrate the usefulness of measuring strain as well as to show the advantages and limitations of the instrumentation system. The examples include soil compaction, soil-structure interaction, and traffic-induced strains.
