This is a general discussion of liquefied natural gas, sources of supply, costs of gas, and a description of the process most commonly used for base-load liquefied natural gas facilities.

The cryogenic heat exchanger and materials for pipe, fittings, valves, equipment, and hardware are discussed. Materials for liquid transfer lines, storage tanks, and flare systems, plant capacities, and facility costs are included.
