Tube Sheet Alternatives for Reactive Metal Tubed Heat Exchangers

This paper looks at the variety of tube sheet constructions available for heat exchangers using titanium and zirconium tubing. Comparisons will be made of loose-lined versus solid or integrally clad tube sheets and of seal-welded versus rolled-only or strength-welded tube-to-tube-sheet joints. Alternatives will be evaluated with regard to their design reliability, economics, and maintainability.
