Oil and Resin Base (Oleoresinous) Caulking Compounds
SourceOil and resin base caulking compounds have been employed for sealing joints in buildings for many years. This paper describes the history, composition, and types of compounds. Back-up materials, movement capability, and life-expectancy are discussed. Effects of painting the compound, package stability, limitations, methods of testing, and specifications related to the compounds are included.
