Preparing known concentrations of gas and vapor in air is an important function of any industrial hygiene laboratory. In this paper two systems for generating gas or vapor mixtures are compared: the simple static system and the more complex dynamic system. A completely automated dynamic system that controls the flow, temperature, humidity, and concentration of a gas or vapor mixture is also described.
