Fundamentals of Radiographic Imaging
SourceThe fundamentals of radiological imaging on film can be considered in terms of contrast, sharpness, and graininess. On a fluoroscopic image, screen luminance and the performance of the eye at different luminances must also be taken into account. Modern methods of treating this subject using optical transfer function data are detailed and this is related to radiographic image quality. The significance of quantum fluctuation effects is discussed. Some data obtained from practical applications of real-time imaging techniques are detailed.
