Impact Response of Polymer-Matrix Composite Materials

The more significant of the many prior investigations of the title problem have been organized into a brief summary of past achievements and an appraisal of the current state of the art with emphasis on the impact of beam specimens such as those used in the Charpy test. An extensive list of references are catagorized into general directions that prior research has taken with representative experimental results being included to emphasize the conclusions presented. These form the basis for suggestions for additional research, both experimental and analytical.
