A Method for Corrosion Testing of Cable-Shielding Materials in Soils
SourceA method for testing shielding materials for corrosion resistance is presented. Techniques for preparing specimens and evaluating the effects of alternating current on corrosion are described. Analytic methods are discussed for determining soil constituents which impact corrosion. The results of a six-year burial program for cable-shielding materials are listed.
