Determination of Young's Modulus Under Conditions of Relaxation

Source

Equipment for the determination of Young's modulus is described, and methods for obtaining improved axial alignment are recommended. Statistical analyses show the effect of five methods of gripping specimens on the apparent Young's modulus and the degree of misalignment.
