Soil Models and Soil-Gravity Platform Interaction
SourceFirst, this paper deals with the laboratory and theoretical researches on Shanghai soils, which are similar to those in the East Sea (Donghai Sea) in some ways, and the soil models include the linear elastic (finite layer element method), nonlinear elastic, elastoplastic, and viscoelastic (numerical-analytical method) models. It has been proved that the first three of the four soil models given in this paper are better suited for studying superstructure, foundation soil interaction, and the last one for studying the immediate, consolidation and secondary settlements simultaneously. These soil models may be applied to the soil gravity platform interaction. Next, this paper presents tentative proposals for soil structure interaction problems of offshore gravity platform, such as the soil rigid foundation and nonrigid foundation interaction, especially the interaction between the viscoelastic soil model and gravity platform.
