In this paper, the author presents information concerning building sealants in Russia.

The paper includes data of demand and provision of construction industry with sealants, the features of sealants application and comprehensive description of types and application areas of sealant materials.

Technical requirements and physical properties, current experimental data on performance capabilities of some types of sealants in Russia are presented and discussed.

Possibilities of organization of a joint sealants business in Russia are described in the conclusion.
