The Effect of Reformulated Gasoline on Other Products

The paper discusses the possible impact of various gasoline reformulations on the manufacture of other products including jet fuel, diesel fuel and heating oil. The paper also addresses concurrent effects of regulatory requirements covering diesel fuel. Changes in military and commercial jet fuels are reviewed. Refinery process changes are assessed for product quality impact. The paper also suggests areas where refinery process changes may indicate a need for reassessments of product standards and where such changes as well as government regulations indicate a need for new or improved test methods.
