Procedure for Automated Tests of Fatigue Crack Propagation

This paper describes a computer program and its periphery that allows the determination of da/dN - ΔK curves: fatigue crack propagation threshold, ΔK_th: and the crack opening stress intensity factor, K_op. The main requirement on the computer program is that no a priori knowledge about the material or the test procedure is required of the operating personnel.
