Flammability Limits of Stainless Steel Alloys 304, 308, and 316
SourceMore than 100 specimen combustion tests suggest that stainless steel thresholds of sustained propagation depend to a great degree on diameter, tubing wall thickness, positive burn criterion, presence of flow through tubing, and alloy, and to a smaller extent on surface finish and oxygen concentration.
