D8591 - Test Method for Determination of Fluorotelomer Alcohols in Test Chamber Air by Thermal Desorption-Gas Chromatography-Triple Quadrupole Tandem Mass Spectrometry (TD-GC-MS/MS)
The precision of this research report is based on an interlaboratory study of D8591, Test Method for Determination of Fluorotelomer Alcohols in Test Chamber Air by Thermal Desorption-Gas Chromatography-Triple Quadrupole Tandem Mass Spectrometry (TD-GC-MS/MS), conducted in 2026. 9 laboratories reported data for this study. Each of the laboratories were asked to report 3 replicates test results on a total of 12 materials. Every “test result” represents an individual determination. Practice ASTM E691 was followed for the design of the study and analysis of the data; the details are given in ASTM Research Report No D22-2003.
