D8659 - Test Method for Determination of Count per Volume, and Size Distribution of Solid Particles in Light and Middle Distillate Fuels by Direct Imaging Analysis
The precision of this research report is based on an interlaboratory study of D8659 - Test Method for Determination of Count per Volume, and Size Distribution of Solid Particles in Light and Middle Distillate Fuels by Direct Imaging Analysis, conducted in 2026. One laboratory with six operators reported data on six separate pieces of equipment for this study. Each of the operators were asked to report NUMBER replicates test results on a total of 9 materials. Every “test result” represents an individual determination. Practice ASTM D6300 was followed for the design of the study and analysis of the data; the details are given in ASTM Research Report No D02-2109.
