Micrometer-Scale Profile Test of Rock Fracture Surface Based on Spectral Confocal Displacement Sensor

Abstract

The rock roughness and the surface profile are the basic data for analyzing a rock’s deformation. Many related test methods and instruments have been applied to the geometric measurement of rock surface, but the accuracy and measurement range are still the technical problems in the study of the physical properties of microscopic rock mass. The spectral confocal displacement sensor test instrument can solve the accuracy to 0.002 mm, its accuracy can be well corrected, and the test range can be set according to the requirements. The relevant samples (50 mm in diameter by 100 mm in height) are tested and analyzed, the surface geometry data are well characterized in profile, and the corresponding roughness expression is obtained. The corresponding software is developed to control the reset of repeated tests, supersteep correction, and correction of edge test data. This test technique provides a technical basis for the deformation, strength, and seepage. The rock structure surface is rough, and the results of each scale are different. A spectral confocal displacement sensor was used to develop a device that allows rock surface morphology at micrometer scale.
