About the Course
This course is designed to familiarize attendees with Salt Fog Corrosion Testing procedures and equipment. During this one day course attendees will get a step by step discussion of ASTM B117 and its supporting documents.

About the Instructor

Kerwin Nealer has been involved in technical sales, product innovation and development for over 40 years. Kerwin started his career in the late 80's building and developing large scale outbound telesales groups for a Fortune 500 industrial distributor.

In the 90s he applied his integration background with SAP/Barcoding to help companies coordinate inventory management and process control.

In early 2000 he began his exploration into the corrosion testing industry. Kerwin became a Director at Auto Technology Company working in the areas of sales, service, testing, engineering and management. In the 2008 he was instrumental in Auto Technology’s Corrosion Test Lab start up, which is now one of the largest contract corrosion test laboratories in the world. Kerwin was Deputy Director of Quality for Auto Technology's ISO 17025 corrosion test lab for five (5) years and has participated in the A2LA audit process and quality procedure implementation for field technicians, laboratory management and Proficiency Testing.

Over the years Kerwin has worked directly with major automobile manufacturers, US military, and various other industry leaders in corrosion developing and planning equipment designs, improvements and testing. He has participated as a consultant to several OEM car manufacturers in updating their environmental corrosion specification documents.

For 25+ years, Kerwin has been an instructor for Salt Fog and Cyclic Training Classes at Auto Technology as well as a Certified Instructor for ASTM B117 Training for ASTM International. He has had the pleasure to teach over 4000 people both in person and via Zoom.
