Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify apparatus and related components used for determination of the resistance of concrete specimens to rapidly repeated cycles of freezing and thawing in the laboratory, including the freezing-and-thawing apparatus.
- Recognize requirements for the freezing-and-thawing cycle.
- Identify sampling requirements as outlined for ASTM C666/C666M.
- Describe parameters for test specimen size and shape as well as storage requirements.
- Recall procedures A and B for determination of the resistance of concrete specimens to rapidly repeated cycles of freezing and thawing in the laboratory.
- Identify equations for calculation and their components, including relative dynamic modulus of elasticity and durability factor.
- Recognize reporting requirements as outlined for ASTM C666/C666M.
