This course is based on ASTM D3775 Standard Test Method for End (Warp) and Pick (Filling) Count of Woven Fabrics. This test method covers the measurement of end (warp) and pick (filling) count and is applicable to all types of woven fabrics.

- Identify acceptable apparatus and graduated scale requirements for measuring end and pick count of woven fabrics.

- Identify sample conditioning requirements based on moisture content and type as well as what to do when conditioning is not possible.
- Recall procedure, including those for various fabric widths and counts and options for counting by raveling.
- Identify equations for calculating the number of yarns per centimeter (inch) as well as what other information must be calculated for each roll and for the lot.
- List the information to be included in reporting.
