Abstract
This specification covers stainless steel bars for compressor and turbine bucket, blade, and airfoil applications. Materials shall be produced by basic electric furnace melting process with argon-oxygen-decarburization refining or by vacuum ladle degassing. Electro-slag remelting shall also be conducted unless otherwise specified by the purchaser. Two complete heat treatments, consisting of an austenize, quench, and temper, shall be conducted. Straightening, stress relieving, and water or oil quenching shall be executed as well. Steel bars shall adhere to chemical composition and mechanical property requirements, including tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, reduction of area, impact strength, and Brinell hardness.
Scope
1.1 This specification covers stainless steel bars for compressor and turbine bucket, blade, and airfoil applications.
1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.

What is a Redline?
Why Redline?
A PDF redline is a quick and easy way to compare all of the changes between the current, active standard and the previous version.
With a redline you'll immediately see:
additions
deletions
and other changes between the two standards.
Save Time and Trouble! With a Redline you no longer have to spend time trying to determine what has changed in the new standard! Redlines save you time and ensure you see what the changes are to the standard.
PriceWhen you select the "Standard + Redline" option you get both documents! Best of all, the cost of a Standard + Redline is only slightly more than buying the Active Standard by itself.
